Project manager

Turning complex projects into clear, achievable plans

I'm Alex Morgan, a project manager who helps teams ship on time and on budget. Over the past nine years I've coordinated cross-functional product launches, infrastructure rollouts, and process improvements for teams from three to sixty people.

Seeking: senior project manager, remote or hybrid, full-time.

Selected projects

Three projects that show how I turn ambiguity into a plan the whole team can execute.

Customer portal relaunch

The challenge

Onboarding drop-off sat at 60%, and three teams were shipping overlapping fixes with no shared view of the work.

What I did

I ran discovery with support and engineering, replanned the work into two focused sprints, and took sole ownership of the launch checklist.

The outcome

Drop-off fell below 25%, and the portal shipped two weeks ahead of schedule.

Company-wide ops migration

The challenge

Three core services had to move to a new hosting provider without pausing any customer-facing work.

What I did

I built the migration plan with rollback milestones, chaired the weekly risk review, and coordinated the four teams involved.

The outcome

The migration finished in one quarter with zero customer-facing downtime.

Renewal process redesign

The challenge

Renewals were handled through email threads, and 12% of customers lapsed every quarter.

What I did

I mapped the current process, proposed the tooling change, and interviewed the account team to shape the new workflow.

The outcome

The new process went live in six weeks and quarterly lapse dropped to 4%.

The projects and figures above are illustrative samples for this portfolio.

Areas of expertise

Project planning

Roadmaps, sprint plans, and milestones that keep multi-team work moving.

Stakeholder communication

Clear status reporting and decision logs for executives, clients, and teams.

Risk management

Early risk spotting with practical owners, fallbacks, and deadlines.

Delivery

Shipping on time and on budget through steady, visible follow-through.

How I work

Three habits I bring to every engagement.

01

Define the outcome first

Before scheduling anything, I write the success criteria down and put them in front of the team. Scope questions become answerable in minutes.

02

Plan in visible increments

Work is broken into short, reviewable steps with a named owner, so problems surface while they are still cheap to fix.

03

Protect the team's focus

I absorb status questions and external noise and keep the team’s calendar clear for deep work.
